Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By creating an account or otherwise using EduCrush, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you don't agree, please don't use the service. These Terms apply to parents, guardians, tutors, school administrators, and any students enrolled by their parent or guardian.

2. Who can sign up

• Parents and legal guardians may create an account for themselves and enrol their children.
• Children may not self-register; only a parent can create a student account.
• Tutors aged 18+ may register as tutors after providing accurate credentials.
• Schools may register on the School plan with a billing contact of legal age.

3. Plans, trials and billing

• One free trial per family, lasting seven calendar days from registration.
• After the trial — and for any new family — an EduCrush administrator issues an invoice for the chosen plan. Access is granted after the invoice is paid.
• Standard family enrolment is $20 / month per child (1-3 children). Four or more children moves to a custom tiered family plan.
• The School plan is $5 / student / month, with a minimum of 100 enrolled students.
• Invoices are payable in Canadian dollars unless otherwise agreed.

4. Account responsibilities

• You're responsible for keeping your account credentials private and for everything done from your account.
• You must give us truthful information when registering. Misrepresentation can result in account suspension.
• Parents set their children's login credentials and remain ultimately responsible for those accounts.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Resell, sublicense, or scrape EduCrush content without our written permission.
• Interfere with the service's availability or other users' experience.
• Upload material that's illegal, infringing, harassing, or sexually explicit.
• Use the service to harvest personal data about other users.

6. Tutoring sessions

Tutoring sessions are scheduled directly between parents and tutors. EduCrush facilitates discovery, messaging, and the live session room (audio, video, whiteboard) but isn't a party to any tuition contract between you and the tutor. Tutors are independent contractors, not EduCrush employees. Tutoring fees, if any, are settled directly between the parent and tutor.

7. Content ownership

EduCrush retains ownership of all curriculum, lectures, question banks, and platform code. You retain ownership of your own submissions (e.g. essays, testimonials), but by submitting them you grant EduCrush a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host and display them within the service. Testimonials shared via our public submission form are reviewed before publication and may be edited for length or clarity.

8. Suspension & termination

We may suspend or terminate an account if you breach these Terms, fall behind on payment, or use the service in a way that endangers other users or the platform's integrity. You may cancel your account at any time from your dashboard.

9. Disclaimers

EduCrush is provided "as is". We don't guarantee uninterrupted availability or specific academic outcomes. We aren't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages to the extent permitted by Canadian law.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

11. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced by email to account holders. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
